I recently came across a huge book of Mother Goose stories that my Grandmother read to me and my brothers when we were little.  In doing so, I came across one of my favorites, Beauty and the Beast.  The illustrations are strong and very well thought out, and my favorite was the beast.  I had needed to test my capacity to do cross-hatching since I knew my stipple work was well known and wanted to practice.  So I chose him.  

Pretty good for a first try on cross hatching in almost 15 years if I don't say so myself...

I enjoy creating a new world with my favorite scaly friends.

As a little girl that lived near horses and leather on a ranch, I learned very early the beautiful pieces that could be created.  

I left the country to the city and 20 years later, have found my love for leather once again.
