Monoliths
This is a series I have been working on the last month. They are as tall as I am (as you can see) and are really textured.
The idea behind these is that they're my height, and so they're somewhat figurative in a way. They are pretty vague shapes, and there's some variation, which invites you to look closer. Close up,they are very varied, with a lot of texture. I used a lot of glazes, and keep painting over and over and over areas. It's getting very time consuming. :)
There will be 8 when I am done, and I'm looking for places to exhibit them.
All are 28"x64", Acrylic on Canvas.

This is new!
I just noticed this section- since I've been painting more than taking photographs lately, I thought I would give it a try.
"Light" is a painting I made a few months ago. I'm still using texture a lot, and doing many, many layers of glazes, which is why I am using acrylic instead of oil.
I like that just about everyone sees something different in this painting.
