Ok here is an illustration designed for lower left corner of a left facing page. I like the initial design of it. My question is do you think it is to 'rough' should I clean it up and add more detail.

They shouted so loud that they could not hear the heavens saying "Why do you allow this to happen?"

Watercolor is a strange medium. Often acting on its own against my wishes. I started this painting and the watercolor started doing what it wanted and not what I wanted. So I stopped and stuck it on the computer and started to play with it digitally. This digital manipulation is fascinating more and more.
and a little story to go with the art.

A departure from my usual style for this Illustration.....

A friend of mine is in charge of doing make-up for a local theatre's production of Beauty and the Beast. She asked me to do a quick piece of my impression of what the beast should look like. I agreed and asked her when she wanted it. Her reply was "now".
So this is what I gave her.......
less than 30 minutes of planning and painting. She liked it I did not.

I did not like the results of the watercolor I did. I attempted to play with it digitally. So here is a mixed media collage..............

It was on a dreary night of November that I beheld the accomplishment of my toils. With an anxiety that almost amounted to agony, I collected the instruments of life around me, that I might infuse a spark of being into the lifeless thing that lay at my feet. In my search to create the creepy and bizarre I have struggled with subject matter. In the past images I have shown examples of an innocent with a violently stolen soul, nymph moaning in anguish, a witch, and a vampire sprite. I continue to use the material of myth and legend while trying to maintain the style of the previous works. So here without further ado is an image of the pain of reanimation for your delectation.

I should have a whole series if I keep this pace up..

I am fascinated more by this style of media application than the subject. I am trying to stay with the macabre yet I am slowly finding myself trying to slip into slightly lighter subjects. Still I hope this comes across creepy.. what do you think?a witch?
