This my newest painting that I finished last night.  I am experimenting with mixing cultural flavors in my own goofy gumbo.  I thought t would be interesting to mix the Western cultral Christmas wrapping paper with an Eastern cultural blessing.

I would really love everyone's input.  I am trying to teach myself how to paint and have no clue on what I am doing.

FYI: The words are  Japanese wishing "good fortune".

What do y'all think of my latest piece?  It is more gold than orange in real life.  I am trying to experiment with textures and culture.
